Game Tips For TextTwist

  • In order to advance to the next round you need to use all six letters in a single word. Focus on creating the target word before finding the numerous three or four letter words in the puzzle.
  • Use the "twist" feature to shuffle the letters. Doing so will often reveal previously overlooked letter combinations and even create smaller words that just happen to appear in the correct order.
  • Use the keyboard instead of the mouse. Even slow typers can outpace the mouse-clicking and you will be able to try more word combinations before time runs out.
  • Use your previous submissions to get ideas for new words. For example, you've already formed the word "can." Look for ways to build on that: "cane," "canes," "pan," "tan," etc.
  • Use suffixes to expand your word making options: "ly," "ed," "ing," "est," etc.
  • Use "s" to pluralize and make new words.
