Game Description

Get ready for a challenge! Repeatedly use the cursor to switch two blocks horizontally. Remove the blocks by vertically or horizontally aligning three or more matching blocks. Goal of the game A stack of blocks constantly rises from the bottom of the play field. The object of the game is to prevent the blocks from reaching the top of the play field. This is done by aligning three or more matching blocks vertically or horizontally so they are removed from the play field. You can align matching blocks by switching two blocks horizontally with the cursor. It is also possible to switch a block with an empty space. When matching blocks are removed, all blocks on top of the removed blocks drop down (possibly forming other sets of three of more blocks). When a block touches the top of the play field the game is over. Multiplayer Honey Switch is a multiplayer game. At any point in time up to four other players can join your challenge. When you remove more than three blocks with one switch you generate bad blocks that are sent to the other players, but of course other players can do the same and can send bad blocks to your game. Bad blocks are black blocks that can't be removed by aligning three of them. A bad block turns into a block when the block it is resting on is removed from the play field. In the figure the bad block can be turned into a block by switching the two blocks inside the cursor. If multiple bad blocks are stacked on top of each other they can all be turned into blocks by clearing a block directly below the lowest bad block. In the figure the two bad blocks can be turned into blocks by switching the two blocks inside the cursor. Bad blocks can be switched with other blocks or empty spaces just like blocks so you can use the cursor to group them. Bad Block Collector The little white bracket, located in the upper left corner of the play field, is the bad block collector. When other players send bad blocks to you, they are stored in the bad block collector for a short amount of time. When the collector is full, additional bad blocks which are sent to you bounce off. After a while the bad blocks inside the collector drop into your play field, freeing up the collector to collect new bad blocks. The bad block collector grows each level so keep an eye on the level that other players are in, to determine the size of their bad block collectors. Controls The cursor can be controlled by the mouse or the keyboard. If the cursor is controlled by the mouse, simply move the mouse over the play field to position the cursor on the blocks you want to switch. Use the left mouse button to switch the two blocks in the cursor. Use the right mouse button to raise the stack of blocks one row. The cursor can also be controlled with the keyboard. Simply use the cursor keys to move the cursor in the desired direction. During the game you can use the following keys: R This ends the current game and starts a new one. S This starts or stops the sound. Space This switches the two blocks in the cursor. B This raises the stack of blocks one row. Score You can earn points by removing blocks from the play field. The more blocks you remove from the play field with a single switch, the more points you earn. Additional points are awarded when you raise the stack of blocks faster. Levels After you clear a certain amount of blocks from the play field, the game progresses to the next level. Each level the speed of the stack of blocks is increased a bit. The bad block collector also grows in size each level so that other players can send more bad blocks your way.
